Stand and Shout for Hollerday!

October 28, 2011

On November 4th Journalists for Human Rights is standing up for human rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo- literally! Join us and lend your voice to HollerDay a national JHR event to show solidarity for the 1.6 million victims of rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We will be standing outside of the Student Campus Center from 8:00am to midnight, that’s one hour for every 100,000 people raped in the Congo. While we’re raising awareness about human rights violations in the DRC we’ll also be raising funds for JHR programming in the country that will give the Congo the opportunity to use media as a call for action!

Say you’ll stand with us, tell your friend you’ll sponsor them or simply spread the word! Just speak up on November 4th for HollerDay at Ryerson!

When: November 4, 2011 8:00am to 12:00pm

Where: Ryerson University’s Student Campus Center 80 Gould Street

Why: Raising awareness about human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raising money for JHR programming in the DRC.
